“ Together with friends, we had the most wonderful dinner in the midst of the rich Serbian atmosphere. Both my friend and I ordered the Tenen Meat Platter and we were not disappointed with 5 different varieties of meat (each of which tasted differently). My wife had the Karadjorgke Steak and our other friend had the Njegushki Steak. All of were more than pleased with the quality of the food and the generous portions. There was so much food, we all had to take boxes home. Yes, we got another meal from it all. We were so full we ordered the Krempita dessert ”to go” which had a wonderful taste and texture. The atmosphere was very Balkan (especially the shoes hung from a central chandelier). It just made the evening out that much more enjoyable. I told our server I wished I had Serbian heritage! When we are in the Lower Mainland again, we will be back. We need to begin sampling other menu items. Highly recommended! ”

“ Oof, it's been a few hours and I'm still full! Don't underestimate their portion size! I have to admit I haven't had much east European food, but u really enjoyed the food here. Service was good, and while the server initially seated us at the patio outside (she probably assumed we didn't want to wait), she quickly brought us back inside once there were seats. Overall, a pleasant experience, and would go again. ”

“ Generous portions of food at a good price. Very hard to find good eastern European restaurants but this one is a hidden gem for sure. Went with a party of 6. Called ahead and they were very accommodating. Everyone ordered their own dish and all really enjoyed. I had the cabbage rolls and it came with two scoops of mashed potatoes. The cabbage rolls were large and i could only finish half the plate. Husband had the roasted lamb and it was tender and succulent ”

“ This is such a great restaurant!! Great tasting meat, their BBQ is absolutely amazing. Lots of options. My husband was able to find a great meal that was gluten and dairy free. “ The interior is cozy and beautiful! Ordered the Tenen Meat Platter (for 2) to share and was full with leftovers for later. Also tried the Medovina, it was strong (at least for me, trying it for the first time) and sweet. The person who served us was friendly the entire time. Remembered going here before covid and am glad it is even better than I remembered. ”

“ Wow! Had lunch at Tenen with a group of friends a few days before Christmas and we all absolutely loved it! We ordered soup, the MVP Platter and dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and reminded me of the meals from my childhood. The service was excellent too. The food, the music and the language will keep me coming back. “ My wife and I ordered the Tenen platter, a very delicious meat plate for one or two people. All the meats were tender, juicy and tastefully prepared. The meats sat on a crispy pile of potatoes and sided with a delicious focatia like bread and a light and refreshing coleslaw. Very enjoyable meal. ”
